Important Projects: The National Adaptation Plan (NAP), created after lengthydiscussions, attempts to incorporate climate change into
economically susceptible sectors. Living Indus:
A collaborative effort with the UN to re-establish the ecological equilibrium of the Indus Basin within
Pakistan's borders. Pakistan's revised pledge to the Paris Agreement in 2021 is an
example of the country's agreement to accelerate the shift to a
climate-resilient economy. Pakistan's Carbon Market Framework: Designed to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and encourage sustainable growth. Phase 1 of the Green Pakistan Upscaling Program is an initiative
to encourage sustainable forest management and lower the
likelihood of natural catastrophes. Current Events: Pakistan's Green Taxonomy was open to the public on
February 6, 2025. The date of the Agri :
Connections 2025 conference was February 4, 2025. On January 24, 2025, Pakistan debuted the Challenge
Fund for Climate Resilient Infrastructure.
